Image Prevalence

1. Why do you think the reproduction of image is so prevalent in the world today?

Well it simple really, if a image in reproduced, multiple times, people see it. if they see it enough and don’t know what it is, they’ll look it up. if they already know what it is and they still see, it gets engraved in their brain, when the time comes-the hope- is that they will remember the logo and the company behind it.

2. What do you think this prevalence bodes for the future of graphic design and your place in it?

I think that logos are in a pattern loop of getting simpler and then more complicated. I see my self siding with the simpler logos more, but i can fit into both. my true hope is to able to create a logo that is so well known that my name would be one that is trusted to do a good job in designing.

3. Why do you think the John McCain drive for the presidency failed to use the Internet (or failed to use it effectively) as a means of communicating with voters?

I don’t think he failed, I just believe that Obama did it better. Obama spend a lot of money on logos, and imagery, because he understood that that what is going to get votes. McCain spent money on getting his ideas out, a notion that should have been taken as the better route, but wasn’t. As it came down to it, Americans seem to only want the easy pretty answer-even if it’s a lie.

sorry for letting my politics show…

Logo study

Image Logos:

My Favorite Logos are the simple ones. the one that use very simple imagery or text. I think they read clearer and people have a easier time recognizing them, which is the point of a logo.

Ive added what I like to do with logos, it less of static logos and more of video logos like would be created in After Effects. but I’ve just taken a still of it.

It’s my favorite because it transforms very well to a still and in both film and still it tell the viewer what  the company wants to get across.
